About ESSENCE

A transformational one-day conference designed to inspire, empower, and equip women to live a life of balance, purpose, and wholeness — Mind, Body, and Spirit.

ESSENCE is more than an event. It is a sacred gathering — a space for women to pause, breathe, and reconnect with the truth of who they are. Whether you're navigating a season of transition, searching for clarity, or simply craving community with like-minded women, this day is designed for you.

Through powerful speakers, worship, interactive workshops, and intentional fellowship, you'll leave renewed, nourished, and equipped to walk boldly in your purpose.

"Mind Strong. Body Nourished. Spirit Aligned. That is the essence of a woman."

Your Visionary

Adrianne Jackson-Culp

Presenter & Visionary

Adrianne serves alongside her husband, Terrance L. Culp, Pastor and Founder of Perfecting Love Charlotte. Adrianne is a Registered Nurse with over 15 years of experience in the medical field. Her love and compassion for those in need extends throughout her professional career and into her call from God.

Adrianne's vision is to bring light to who and what a woman is defined as — and then becoming who she is supposed to be. Her mission is to empower, educate, and provide a space where women can just Be!

The Essence of a Woman: Mind, Body, and Spirit was birthed out of a need that she personally needed filled — then understood that so many other women needed it too. So with fear of the unknown, and a step taken outside of her comfort zone, she made a decision: "Okay God, let's do this."

And so now it begins. Welcome to The Essence of a Woman!

"Come as you are. Leave transformed."

Terra Edgerton — Renew Your Mind

Renew Your Mind

Terra Edgerton

Terra Edgerton, MSW, LCSWA, LCASA, is a licensed therapist, writer, leader, and graduate student at Duke Divinity School with a passion for helping people experience healing, freedom, and wholeness. She is passionate about encouraging others through teaching by integrating biblical truth with psychological insight to help people renew their minds, strengthen their faith, and live with greater purpose, emotional health, and spiritual maturity. Through counseling, writing, and teaching, Terra creates spaces where practical mental health strategies and Scripture intersect, empowering individuals to navigate life's challenges with wisdom, authenticity, and hope. Her work is grounded in the belief that lasting transformation occurs when the mind, heart, and spirit are aligned with God's truth. Whether teaching on emotional wellness, identity, relationships, faith, or personal growth, Terra's engaging and relatable approach encourages others to move beyond survival into lives marked by healing, courage, and purpose.

As Executive Director of Career and Workforce Development and Academic Vice Chair, Nursing for Prisma Health, she leads initiatives that strengthen healthcare workforce development, academic partnerships, and clinical excellence across the health system. A Board-Certified Adult Nurse Practitioner with more than 20 years of clinical practice experience, Dr. Deas developed a deep passion for helping individuals achieve healthier lives through the prevention and management of chronic disease. That passion led her to become a certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist, a role she continues to embrace through coaching, mentoring, and consulting.
